10 Reasons You’ll Love Studying at Languages4Life
1. We always work in small groups
Our group sizes are kept intentionally small so you get a more personalised experience and don’t feel lost in the crowd. Smaller groups means more time with the teacher and less pressure to talk in front of a big audience, but just enough people to have a mixture of influences and create a good classroom dynamic. Specifically, our classes are strictly limited to 8 per group (average 5) so you’ll never feel overwhelmed in class.
2. Our classes focus on speaking and listening
For us, long gone are the days where language learning was only about reading and writing. We understand your main objective is to speak and understand Spanish (or English or Catalan), so all the classes have a heavy focus on speaking and listening, backed up by a solid study of grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing. Everything is taught through realistic and real-life scenarios, such as meeting new people, making plans, going out, your work, etc. Our students might play games like “Guess Who?” (to practice talking about physical appearance and asking questions), do role plays, interviews and other dynamic activities in the classroom in order to learn by doing.
3. You’ll learn lots about other cultures in class
Part of learning a language involves engaging with a new culture, so regardless of the language you study with us, we always inject a healthy dose of local culture. For example, in Spanish classes you’ll learn the difference between a clara, caña, jarra, quinto and mediana (5 different measures of beer!), in English class you’ll learn why British people constantly say “sorry” and why you should always buy a round of drinks, and in Catalan class you’ll learn about caganers, calçotades and castanyes!
4. You’ll feel at home in the school
We pride ourselves in creating an intimate and warm atmosphere in our school. Languages4Life is a place where the entire staff knows your name and you feel like you’re in your second home while enjoying a coffee and snack in our gallery before your next class.
5. We run classes for everyone
Our variety in courses means that you can always find something suitable for you. 8. You’ll meet people from all over the world

You’ll also have the valuable experience of meeting people from all over the world and plenty of opportunities for making friends outside of the classroom.
